Black chelsea boots with removable insoles for orthotics

I know we're not in boots season yet but I want to actually get ahead of myself this year.

I had a lovely paid of black chelsea boots which I've had to sadly retire, partly because they're scruffy as hell but also because they ruin my feet as I have plantar fasciitis.

I now have custom made orthotics so I need a boot that has a removable insole, ideally comes in half sizes and is not wildly expensive. £100 is really the most I want to spend.

I really like a dull black leather, like the Toms Bennet boots. Nothing shiny or suede.

Fly London Salv maybe?

I also need orthotics and have always had a lot of luck at M&S. I take various pairs of socks that I ‘might’ wear and try all various combos whilst in store. If I find a winner I buy as many as fit. I’ve likely got 2-3 pairs unworn but I know I have boots ready when I need them.

Clarks often have removable insoles but may not have a style you like unless these? www.clarks.com/en-gb/havisham-top/26178715-p

The trouble with Chelsea boot styles is they may not have the 'depth' for insoles. Even if you take out an insole, your orthotic may still be too thick to wear the boot comfortably. I've found the best way to use orthotics and try to remain stylish is to embrace the chunky look!

I wear orthotics and have a pair of Caprice ankle boots from Charles Clinkard. The orthotics fit in nicely.

Docs have removable insoles.

Agree with a pp though that you might have issues with the depth.
For example, I can't get my foot into most Fly boots even without an added orthotic

I have orthotics too and have always managed to find boots at hotter x
