What’s with all the long sleeves?

Tried on a cardigan at & Other Stories and the sleeves were too long. Tried on two designer jumpers at TK Maxx and sleeves were too long!

Funny you should mention & Other Stories. I just received an online order from them and the sleeves of the shirt I'd ordered were way too long. I'm tall with long arms so I'm normally delighted to get something with long sleeves but these were ridiculous. Totally out of proportion with the rest of the shirt. It's going back.

How weird. I got some very long sleeves from Sweaty Betty but they were supposed to be like that because they had thumbholes.
What size were they?
When I was size 18 I found garments that size always had very long sleeves bit now Im size 10 they dont. No idea why a size 18 would need very long sleeves 😐

How odd. I find clothes to have very short arms these days and there are few places I can shop at. Will take a look at their website!

XS in the cardigan and S in the jumpers. The M from Missoni was too big and was an instant “Oh no” when I tried it on.

Could they be meant to be folded back at the wrist?

@Britpopbaby I have a few Missoni ones from several years ago and they all have long, flared sleeves - it’s the style!

Ive seen quite a lot of very long sleeves in fashion mags rolled up. Maybe its a fashion thing going on at the moment. Denim jackets always seem to have too much sleeve.

I’m short so this is a recurring problem forever as most RTW clothes are too long in some parts and don’t fit me that well.

Either sleeve length, skirt length, jeans length, crotch length etc. and so I work out if it’s worth my while altering it before I buy it.
