Help me style my B-shaped belly and big boobs!

I am currently losing weight but getting frustrated with my body shape. I am a comfortable size 14 in most things but my boobs are very big (36E/38DD) so I struggle with things with buttons and baggy things land on my boobs and go straight down making me look frumpy. I have a very small wait below my boobs but then a big bottom belly so I really struggle, particularly with shorts and t shirts. I manage okay with dresses that come in and the upper waist and then float out but do struggle with other items. Also I prefer a lower neck as higher neck again looks frumpy and a bit odd with the big boobs.

Anybody else have the same shape and have any style tips please?! Or links to nice items. Help me feel better about my body. I am over 3 stone lighter but not enjoying my body yet 😔

Are you an hourglass shape? Or a pear? How tall?

I think I am hourglass - from the front anyways. It’s when I turn to the side there’s issues! I’m 5 foot 6 x

At a size 14 you won’t be a 36/38 band in the bra. I would get a new bra fitting as that will make a huge difference to clothes and how they fit and look.

I am also a size 14, im a 34J bust and have similar issues. I’ve found that wide leg trousers work well for me, stretchy/elastic waistbands flatter me more than tailored. Fitted tops help stop me looking frumpy, although I always lean towards just hiding under a boxy t-shirt.. which I shouldn’t as they aren’t more flattering.. just more mentally comfortable.

You’re probably right about the bra. I was measured when I had lost maybe half of the weight I have now and was a 40E though so I’ve just been making it up since then really!

I bought a really nice long skirt from Asda last weekend and wore that with a tighter top and did feel good actually, I just can seem to find shorts that do the same kind of effect

I found Bermuda style shorts work really well, I had a hair of them from Asda recently with a matching top and it was a really nice flattering set.. the shorts are a nice length that stops any chafing, hides my wobbly thighs and doesn’t ride up between them!

I am similar but a size 10. I am also annoyed at my small waist contrasting with the lower belly bit that makes me look enormous and sticks out disproportionately to the rest of me. Other people tell me it doesn't look that bad, but I think it's huge and that they are just being kind. Could you be being self conscious and it's not as bad as you think?

I tend to wear ribbed t shirts as they are more form fitting and flattering. I have also been wearing short skorts which work well and don't emphasise the belly as much. I also wear short shorts made of jogging bottom material which are looser so you can't see the lower belly then really. I think the thicker material also covers lower belly bumps quite well. If you have good legs, people see those and not the belly I think.

If I wear leggings or cycling shorts I wear a hip length slim fit top. Skin tight makes my belly look big, baggy males me look huge as it hangs straight down from the boobs. I really like the Lululemon swiftly tech tops, they are perfect in terms of being slim fit but not clingy and I find them really flattering for my body shape. They come in hip length too so cover that bit of lower belly fat really nicely.

@PurpleCoo@Whippetintoshapethank you so much these are exactly the type of suggestions I needed - will take a look at them specifically. …goes off to google Bermuda shorts….
