Experiences of baby Botox for early forehead lines and wrinkles

Hi all, please share your Botox experience please! I am finally getting some small permanent wrinkles/fine lines in my forehead and horizontal between my brows, not 11s weirdly.

I want to get ‘baby Botox’ or a small dose which still allows some movement but will help slow down the lines becoming deeper. Does anyone have experience with this and can share their experience and tips?

I got Botox recently after lots of prevarication. I'm delighted with it, my 11s have disappeared but I still have movement in my forehead and can raise my eyebrows so nobody has noticed except me!

Sounds great! Do you know much you got put in?

I don't but when I went back after 2 weeks the doctor was very pleased that she'd got the dosage just right. She came highly recommended so I'd look for someone well qualified and experienced.

Just make sure you go to a doctor or a dentist - not one of those high street places where someone not medically qualified has paid to do a course.

Yes the person I am considering is a registered plastic surgeon and cosmetic specialist

I’ve been having this once a year since I was 29. My face looks young and fresh and it even lifts my brows a little.

I had it done for the first time in early March after becoming self-conscious about the static lines on my forehead. I can’t remember how much I had injected but I got almost instant results and I’m really pleased with the way it looks. There are still very faint slight lines there so it looks natural and my forehead doesn’t look stretched and shiny- no one has noticed that I’ve had it done or said anything to me, and I feel much more confident and less self-conscious since having it done.

How much are you all paying ?
I guess pricier in the city ?
Is everyone using a doctor/dermatologist or dentist ?

I pay £200 for two areas, forehead and 11s - the lady I see is a nurse (theatre) and can proscribe. I’m in Scotland so it’s possibly cheaper. I last had it at the end of March and am booked for a top up on 4 August. It just me look less angry/tired 😂

Update: I had my first baby Botox 1 week ago. Had upper forehead (practitioner wouldn’t go lower due to it risking lowering brow), 11s, and crows feet.

One week in I can see that I can’t crunch my 11s which is nice. Crows feet and forehead seem very marginally smoother. I’d say it all looks a bit better but a slightly underwhelmed so far. Worried too low a dosage was used and I’ll need a top up.

Anyone had it kick in more after day 7?

You should have a follow up appointment scheduled where they will top up (free) if needed? My lady tends to go in light to make sure there’s no heavy brow, and then go again on the second apt if need be.

Those vertical lines you get above your nose/between your eyebrows.

That’s a fair point! I was hoping to avoid going back in in-person as I travelled a long way for this clinic. I’m now noticing one of my under eye wrinkles is more pronounced. I’ve read this is pretty normal and might settle by week 2-3. Apparently it’s the area compensating for reduced muscle movement of the crows feet. Do you have experience of this? If it doesn’t settle I’d avoid doing my crows feet again as it’s so aging.

I’m lucky as my clinic is really close but I understand not wanting to trail back if you have to travel a long way. I don’t mind my crow’s feet (my granny use to call them her smiley crinkles!) so don’t ever get those done.

I’d try not to micro-analyse your face if you can, and remember it all takes time to settle. The first time I had it I felt like my left eyelid had drooped and actually ended up emailing the clinic who scheduled an appointment the next day - by then it had totally reverted and possibly I had just been tired anyway.

Thanks for the advice! I’m actually quite pleased with how youthful my forehead and 11s look today - which shows my opinion changing since yesterday!

I’ll try not to constantly check and cross my fingers that the under eye issue is just while the Botox settles.
