WHATS THE BEST GRADUAL TANNER CREAM THAT DOESNT STREAK?

I have fair skin and have tried the dove one but still got patches with it. I have an event coming up that i want to take away my pastiness for. I am pg and a 2yr old ds so do not have time for proper fake tanners or going to a professional. What is the best one for fair skin that wont go patchy or streaky??

The L'Oreal is good, smells nice and doesn't streak. They have a fair skin version which is fairly subtle.

NOT the Dove (although everyone told me it was great!)

I now have streaky legs in the office and look a complete idiot!

Look forward to hearing this mad4

have done a survey of glam ladies in my office and they rate an garnier ambre solaire spray thing that you can get for about a tenner from Boots.

Think I might give it a go - am scared of a spary though. I am always in such a rush that i can imagine spraying most of the bathroom at the same time!

mad4mybaby · 26/06/2008 13:40

yeah i used that few years ago but i think thats a fake tan as apposed to the moisterisors with a gradual tanner in it isnt it?

ooo - thanks for clarifying that - could have all gone so horribly wrong!!!!1

BirdyArms · 26/06/2008 22:37

I always make a terrible mess of my legs with gradual tanners. Dh bought me clinique one back from a work trip and have gone from while to very blotchy in 2 applications.

Does anyone have any application tips? I think that they need to be applied as carefully as a proper fake tan, in which cse what's the point?

noddyholder · 26/06/2008 22:41

st tropez everyday is good

chocolatescoffer · 26/06/2008 22:43

summer face, summer body - L'oreal.... because your worth it!!

LittleMyDancing · 26/06/2008 22:45

I've got fair skin and use the Piz Buin one - it's bloody brilliant. No streaks, no fuss, no orange knees. It's a gradual one and i use it every day, and I look really natural.

All the others I tried gave me yellow knees. yeugh.

Get it in Boots, it's not cheap but I think it's still on special offer.

LittleMyDancing · 26/06/2008 22:46

And BirdyArms - I slap this one on like moisturiser, very slapdash, and it still works really well.

(I don't work for Piz Buin, btw - just amazed to have found a good product for a change)

Moomin · 26/06/2008 22:51

I've used: Dove, Johnsons & St Tropez

St Tropez is defo the best- the others were streaky and smelly IMO. I'm very pale and the colour is fab - everyone has said how healthy I look, so it's not an obvious fake colour. Not cheap (£13) but have decided it's worth treating myself every month or so.

Moomin · 26/06/2008 22:51

St TRopez Everyday, I should say - like noddyholder recommended

Isnt the Incredible Hulk look just with the full-on St TRopez, when you have the greeny-grey mousse? The 'everyday' stuff is just white lotion. It's lurvely

mad4mybaby · 27/06/2008 12:40

hmm so betwen st tropez every day and a piz buin then?? Comparisons anyone??

OP posts:
scunnered · 27/06/2008 14:26

Agree that St tropez is fab. Does not have horrible smell of some gradual fake tans. I am very pale and it gives a great streak free natural colour.

LittleMyDancing · 27/06/2008 16:09

not tried st tropez one - maybe look at price? Piz Buin is £7.99, but currently reduced to £4.99 in Boots.

I bought three
