EasyJet small hand luggage - city break

3 days in Madrid. I’m a 16 and need walking round and going out stuff.

What else? Anyone seen creaseproof long dresses that work in the city rather than beach. I’ve got chunky trainers and flat sandals

If its in the next month or two, I'm not I'd bother with trainers and just wear walking sandals.

Nor jeans, perhaps some lightweight cropped trousers and another top, maybe a lightweight cardigan for the plane that you could wear with everything else if needed.

Then a dress, and that's enough clothes for 3 days. Plus underwear obviously and other necessary bits.

For anything under a week I do the Sudoku packing method so that it easily fits in a carry on case. It is probably best if you look up videos on it but basically it is three tops, three bottoms (could be trousers or skirts) and three layering pieces (jackets, cardigans, jumpers etc). You choose items that all are in a certain colour palette so everything mixes and matches and it gives you 27 outfit combinations.

If it's going to be hot or if you're going out for dinner in the evening I'd probably swap one of the bottoms and one of the layering pieces and take two dresses instead.

Two pairs of shoes will be fine. I would take one pair of walking sandals and a pair of dressy sandals so I didn't need to pack socks 🤣.

I say it all the time on here but for crease proof dresses I really like the Uniqlo airism ultra stretch dress. It's a technical fabric so keeps you cool and can easily be dressed up or down. Pack some crease release spray and you're good to go(Lenor is the best one I've used and they do travel size or just decant it).

Nice top. I wouldn’t waste it on a flight - it will be grubby by the time you arrive and you don’t want to be doing laundry during a three day stay. Save it for once you’ve arrived.

And yes, if the weather is anything like the highest temperatures we’ve had here, jeans would be awful. For the sake of space saving and being cool I’d avoid anything flouncy, or with acres of material.

I thought wearing jeans back with the top but no idea what to wear with the top in the city. Trousers or long skirt maybe but what colour?
I need a good plain dress for eating out in the evening (plus nice jewellery) but even rolled, my cotton dresses look crumpled. I’ve not seen anything suitable so far.

I’d take shorts and cropped trousers and a skirt to wear with the top plus three other tops. So a wide choice of outfits. Two dresses and something for warmth like a cardigan , if needed. More than enough.
