Nice sports bra for larger bust

My teenage DD does a lot of sport and needs a good sports bra but wears a 34G. She would love something a bit prettier than the sensible full support sports bras she has been wearing, but we're not having much success in finding one.

She's feeling a bit down about it as her friends don't have the same issue. Could anyone recommend something please?

Its really difficult, whats frustrating is that companies will do great sports bras for bigger busts but always want to make them in black, or stick a big pattern all over them, or a 'sporty' colour theme with piping etc, nothing in trend, which is just nice plain coloured ones!
I have bought one from Jluxe recently which ive been impressed with (i am a 32F) might be worth trying, its a small business and means ive been able to buy a matching set for the first time ever!!
Otherwise have a look at ASOS, i would recommend not going straight to finding her size or filtering to 'fuller bust' but having a look at whats available in standard sizing in the 4505 brand (ASOS own brand) there's a few styles at the moment that are roomier, you want to look for high up under the armpits and adjustable straps - worth a shot.

It’s not cheap, but Bravissimo has a seamless one which looks like a crop top - i have it in green and in brown, and it’s fantastic. I bought matching leggings in Oysho and so it looks like a set.

Thank you both so much. @Thundertoast that's exactly it, the ones in larger sizes are all very practical but just not nice to look at, especially for a teenager. I will check out JLuxe and ASOS, thanks for the recommendations.

@EspanaPorfavor I buy her normal bras at Bravissimo but hadn't realised they do sports bras as well - off to have a look now. Thank you!

I'm a similar size to your daughter OP and these ones from Pour Moi are hands down the comfiest sports bra I've ever owned. Think as they've gone on sale they're currently out of stock in her size but other retailers like Next and John Lewis now stock pour moi so might be worth checking those websites too?

I bought mine (32H) from Rigby and Peller, so i had a proper fitting beforehand.
It was expensive, but worth every penny, cos i can actually get some proper exercise.

I get where she's coming from, but support is everything. I'm a die hard shock absorber run fan, but even those aren't always perfect when I'm due on these days and I really noticed how distracting it is to run with some bounce.

I've tried less sensible types, but they just don't hold the same.

Thanks @VividDeer my DD tried on that zipped M&S bra in sizes bigger than her and she couldn't get the zip up. Possibly because it has padding in it and she really doesn't need that! I will her the leopard one, I think she will like that.

@mummabubs they look great - I'll have a look at John Lewis and Next. It would be great to get them in the sale as I spend a fortune on bras for her.

@ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews I had forgotten about Rigby and Peller, thanks for the reminder.

@TheFlyingPenguin and @Octomingo I think she is hoping for something a bit prettier as the sports bras she has now are very sensible and practical but thank you. Part of the problem is that most of the other girls on team have very small busts so can wear thing with tiny straps and not much "scaffolding" and she would like that too - though understands that she can't really.

She's got some options now thanks to you all. :-)

Best of luck, @AlexFurbison 🤞

Have a look on the boobydoo website as it has a variety of brands. I like panache ultimate underwired.

Great name for a website! I'll have a look, thank you.

@ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews thanks!

Get her to Bravissimo for a fitting. A 34 back is really big and sounds like she's in the wrong size if she does a lot of sport. A good fit is crucial. I really like the Bravissimo own sports bra. It's easier to get into than other brands I've tried.

AlexFurbison · 29/07/2026 22:02

Really big? I disagree. She has been fitted at Bravissimo.
