I’ve had a run of Vinted failures trying to find floaty lovely summer dresses and skirts.

I need a wardrobe summer makeover (bit late I know!) and am looking for dresses and skirts that can be casual or dressed up.

Thought I’d start a thread for inspiration in the hopes others will share their best finds.

My two to start are both Fatface (who I don’t usually love but these are great). I love bright colours and I’ve worn both of these with trainers in the day or smartened them up for the evening

I know Mountain Warehouse is far from being stylish or beautiful, but this dress is really working well for me this summer. I am tallish though.

River Island have been a revelation for me as I haven’t shopped there since 1995 but look at this: Striped dress and this one

I just saw this dress on someone and it did look fabulous. But it's 100% polyester.😪

I’ve bought two from Uniqlo recently-I’ve found it tricky to find dresses that I like in more natural fibres. The skirt of the black one is polyester but it’s light and the top is cotton so it works.

I'm too short to do floaty justice but some excellent shirt dresses in Hobbs and Boden this season.

I also have recently got this skirt from uniqlo.
it has a satiny lining which initially put me off, but actually it helps to keep you really cool when wearing it.

Still debating keeping it (tags still on) as it really is lovely. Cannot find a cotton alternative.

I bought this DNKY dress in TKMaxx and it has been fantastic so far this summer. There seem to be a few on Vinted too.

Yes I would say true to size. Get usual size.

I agree the river island dress is stunning but sadly not in stock in my size!

Hobbs are a little out of my price range but I’ll add them to my Vinted search criteria!

And I have now ordered the various Uniqlo dresses as they look fabulous so shall report back!

Will also duck into nobody’s child within M&S and see if I can find the lovely white dress.

Yes, I used to wear an XL in Uniqlo when I was a size 16. I'm now a size 10-12 so sometimes a S and sometimes a M depending on how I want a garment to fit.
