Got to wear socks, but with what?

My new cancer drugs have made the skin on my feet peel almost horribly and it’s very sore.

The Oncology team have suggested I’m moisturise my feet constantly and wear socks with footwear. As someone who lives the summer in flip-flops and all sorts of pretty open toed sandals this is just a nightmare.

I saw a lady in a shop wearing sketchers pumps with cats all over them and thought if I could find something similar that would be really good. But I can’t even find that online.

Does anybody know of some sort of funky pump type of footwear bit like a plimsoll but maybe with a bit more cushion comfort under foot please?

Soft bed Birkenstock Boston clogs? I wear them with socks and they are so comfortable.

Luckily for you, Gen Z have decreed it social suicide to fail to wear socks, so old fashioned notions about “socks and sandals” are now defunct.

Adidas Bold are very comfy.

Hoff trainers? They seem to be on sale a lot right now, down from well over £100. Some are down to £42 in John Lewis. Lots of colours. Very cushioned.

Absolutely no need for ‘twee’! And socks are definitely the ‘coolest’ option right now. Have you looked at Grenson? Does it have to be plimsolls? They do those, but also fisherman sandals that are stupendous with socks.
