Have promised dh a clothes makeover, but think I may have bitten off more than I can chew

We were watching Mary Queen of Shops last night and dh started talking about how he dresses and how he feels a bit lost. So, I stupidly said that I'd give it some thought and come up with some ideas. Not really sure where to start. When she was talking about shoes in the programme I couldn't tell the difference between one pair and another.

I'm reasonably clued up on women's fashion, but not mens. DH works in a creative industry and is usually in jeans and trainers, but feels he getting a bit old for it. He thinks clients expect him to be trendy, but he's just not bothered. So I suggested he have a kind of uniform ie. same style trousers or jeans, same type of top and shoes so he can just get up and go. He doesn't want to have to think about what he wears.

Where could I start looking for inspiration other than hanging around mens clothing shops... in fact that sounds quite good .

Perhaps you could try a personal shopper in a department store like John Lewis.

Book him a personal shopper at John Lewis. I did this for my dh, he LOVED it. (I had to go with him, he was too scared to go by himself).
