High waists and ankle-grazing

I am really struggling with trousers/jeans at the moment. I hate, hate, hate a high waist - really uncomfortable. I also hate all these styles currently around that flap around your ankles (I'm only 5'1" and a bit so anyone's guess where they flap on other people). My current solution is to buy three sizes too big so I can wear them on my hips and the length goes to the bottom, iyswim.

Anyone got any tips for brands that don't do this? (I'm not saying there is no place for such a style - I have a couple of pairs of work trousers like that and I love them but I feel that's enough). I like barrel leg at the moment, and yes, barrel leg that finishes at the top of your shoes, not barrel leg that ends at your ankle.

I’d try Hush - you can get low rise jeans and their standard length is 28”. I’m the opposite and actually selling a pair of hush jeans on Vinted because I love a high waist and find the low rise really uncomfortable. Y2K fashion was not a good time for me 😂

I get that @Rumbleinthecrumble . I couldn’t get on board with skinnies and so I’ve had this before too! I don’t mind being out of fashion it’s just when I can’t get stuff to wear at all. Thanks for the links @Beachforever - love free people and hush, but don’t get on with hush jeans sadly
