Non-sticky, unfragranced sun cream for kids? does it exist?

All the ones tried so far are so sticky and smelly! Any recommendations? Any similar for adults? Or one we all use?

BondiSands Hydra range works for all of us, sinks in quickly and has a subtle smell (I think). This one is a water resistant version for swimming but there are other types in the range (which I haven't tried). Easy to use - quick to put on before school from our experience as sinks in quickly and has good SPF coverage.

Altruist

None are kids specifically but Le Roche Posay, Bondi Sands or Nivea sensitive should tick the fragrance free and non sticky requirements.

Altruist

This is our family go-to - cheap enough that you use the right amount, readily available and doesn't irritate anyone (two of us have very sensitive skin).

Another vote for Altruist - we get the 50 spray for the kids and my son is ginger with the palest skin in the world. I get the 30 for myself and i have the facial primer which is 50 I think.

We saw a dermatologist for an issue with my son's skin and she recommended Altruist or Roche Posay.

Have you tried using a dry oil spray instead of a cream? My kids are fine with dry oil as they hate the sticky, sweatiness of a cream.

Great, thank you all

Agreed this one is the best. It has a lovely suncream smell, but if that’s too much smell then the basic Tesco spray is unfragranced. Not as nice a texture though but fine

eucerin Anthelios SPF 50 spray is non sticky and suitable for sensitive skin

Spacestory · 08/07/2026 20:17

Sunbum. It’s the only one we use now and have tried a lot.

Trainup · 08/07/2026 21:01

I use le Roche posay on dd .. it is expensive but much nicer than other creams Ana doesn’t trigger her eczema

HeidiLite · 08/07/2026 21:04

sorry Anthelios I recommended is of course La Roche. Eucerin has Dry Touch spray that's also great.
