Style advice after baby for a changed shape and size

Hello everyone, this is my first post so please be kind…
I had a baby 7 months ago and found that my body has changed dramatically.
Ive always been plus sized curvy but now I’m a size 22 top/20 jeans and have no idea what to wear on a daily basis.
Ive also just turned 30 this year and have edema on my legs/ankles since having my baby so I unfortunately do not feel comfortable anymore in dresses.
I would say I’m an hourglass, broad shoulders and big bust.
please if anyone has any suggestions as I just feel uncomfortable in everything since having baby via c section.
thank you 🙏🏻

congratulations on your baby!

Are you still breastfeeding? If so, I wouldn’t invest too much in new clothing. Your body will continue to change shape for a while.

If not, do you plan to lose any weight or do you think you stay at the size you are?

I use eBay and charity shops to buy a large proportion of my clothes.

if youre not sure about your personal style I would look at different brands like Zara, other stories, nobody’s child, Uniqlo, Monki, Cos, Arket and see which ones you think suit your own taste and buy a few second hand bits to see you through.

Try to find some style bloggers on Instagram or facebook to follow - perhaps some plus size would be better to start sourcing inspiration.

@Plasticdreams thank you for your message.
My milk never came through as I gave birth via emergency c section at 35 weeks and it just never came
I do love eBay so will have to have a look just no idea where to start or what will look good.
Feel like I’ve lost all my confidence after having baby.
Thank you for all your suggestions I’ll have a good look.

It’s a tricky time because your body will continue to change, and you will probably lose more weight. I had an emergency c section too and have had to get used to my pouch. I have a 10 year old and my body is only just back to my pre baby size (and I used weight loss medication)
I would wait a bit and then book an appointment with a John Lewis style consultant or similar and get some tips from them. In the meantime, try picking up some bits secondhand. I know you said no dresses but a nice wrap dress looks great on an hour glass figure with big boobs.

I used to be slim pre pregnancy but my legs are huge and swollen plus my pouch it’s hard to get used too.
I’ll have to have a look at John Lewis, thank you so much.
I used to wear vintage tea dresses but I just don’t feel confident in them anymore so just sold them.
I love a wrap dress but because of my legs and having to wear compression socks constantly I just don’t have the confidence. So looking for some trousers possibly or jeans i don’t know yet x
