Recently I found an Agnes B, 90s or 00s red strappy above knee length dress and a Jaeger sort of cropped navy blue with large white polka dots jacket/blazer. I also found some Miu Miu cream strappy sandals guessing from mid 00s. Paid about £60 for the lot.

Found 3 toast dresses in my size the other day. I crave Toast but can't afford.

I was all of a quiver.

I bought a Louche cotton summer dress, 50s style retails at £120 I got it for a fiver.

Bespoke vintage gents tuxedo from 1965, original makers label still present. It fits me just need a bit of alteration to the length of the jacket that I will be brave enough to attempt soon I think. Gorgeous fabric- think it’s a wool mix with silk lining 😍😍❤️ £5.

Bespoke vintage silk dress, the colours are outrageously beautiful and it fits like it has been made specifically for me. Tiny little covered buttons, exquisite pleating and little details that make me shiver a bit whenever I put it on because they are just so, so gorgeous and well executed. £5.

Cream silk Schiaparelli blouse, 80s I think - possibly my most favourite item I own as it goes with EVERYTHING, I can wear it to work, running errands, shopping in Aldi or a fancy formal event and feel like a million dollars whenever I do. £3.50.

An oatmeal wool mix funnel neck single breasted 3/4 length coat, this is only an M&S one but is such a simple and elegant thing and was only £2.

Quite a few tops/shirts for less than £5 from brands I’d never heard of until I got home and googled them after buying, all retail for over £150 which is probably more than I’ve spent on clothes in the last year 😆

I get such an unbelievable buzz from finding items I love that someone else has discarded. I am a total magpie and am drawn to anything really well made and don’t mind the label/lack of. Even better if I can alter it to be perfect for me by adding something/changing the fit slightly, I can only really do straight lines on my ancient and v basic sewing machine but love making things unique.

I LOVE charity shopping. Favourite way to spend a day off work ❤️

Today was half price day in my local charity shop, got a lovely Mango red floral dress, phase 8 sandals, and a necklace for approx £23. Very pleased.

Our local hospice shop had a £2 sale the other day where i picked up a pair of New Look jeans and a Debenhams swimsuit, and a pair of unworn Oasis navy wedges which were £3.

Primark cotton top and a Made in Italy knee length dress which will be great as a holiday cover up - £1 each. I wouldn't normally buy Primark in a charity shop, but I liked the colours (yellow/white) and being 100% cotton it was really cool and lightweight. I washed it and it has come up a treat. On the same day I got a pair of Blowfish Malibu wedges for £1 as well.

Just today I paid £3 for a brand new, in box Blissy silk pillowcase. Love a charity shop rummage.

My DD LOVES American thrift stores. Prices are usually less than a fiver but she’s been known to sorbs up to $10. Last time out she got an amazing 50s wool cropped swing jacket. A leather blazer, a tweed blazer, an velvet evening jacket, tweed skirt, wool dress and leather boots have all been great finds. On Vinted she found a lace over silk over tulle backless ball dress which fit her like a glove for £15.
She doesn’t care about labels just the style and quality.

I have a grey vintage Gina baconi shirt dress with long sleeves and a pink underskirt, I think it was about £7. I have worn it to loads, I love it

Some vintage Primark (my mum’s best friend has a mustard blazer) is excellent quality.

Sadly the dress which I didn’t try on today looked awful on me so I’ll see if I can exchange it.

I had a little rummage after work yesterday and found a pair of pleat front/wide leg/ high waist trousers (my current go-to trouser shape :)) in my favourite colour for £4. No idea what the brand is but these will slot into my wardrobe like something that slots into a wardrobe very easily. Can’t think what that might be mind you 😆

And in the next shop enroute to the car park a lively quality organic cotton fitted tshirt in exactly the same shade for £2. No brand listed again- although they are the same colour it is very bright and so I might not be brave enough to wear them together.

ooh and an amazing blingy thunderbolt &star brooch that I might wear as a belt buckle. Or maybe on a chain with my Diskokids Disco tshirt. Or maybe thread my laces through it and wear on trainers.

Or just pin to my jewellery noticeboard because it’s lovely and whilst I have lots of ideas about what I COULD do, I am still becoming braver about actually doing them :)

My best ever find was/is a Topman leather hooded bomber jacket for £25 which, for a charity shop seemed like a lot to me.

but worth it at twice the price. It fits me absolutely perfectly, goes with everything and is very good quality. The only time it’s not in daily rotation is during high summer/heatwaves.

I put it in ChatGPT who said based on the logo/label styles, product codes and an online listing of same jacket it’s early 2000s.

only problem is, because it pre-dates smartphones it won’t fit my phone in the outer pockets, it just about fits in the inner pocket but I couldn’t ever get a bigger phone.
also it’s so precious to me I can’t risk sending it to a dry cleaner!

Just last week found an absolutely stunning vintage Balmain dress in a gorgeous mint colour with silver sequin embellishments on the shoulders. ..£50!! Fits perfectly and, as it happens, I've been looking for a dress for a wedding and this will be just perfect 🥰 I still can't believe it x

It was a while ago, but I found a The Kooples black and white bomber jacket in an Oxfam for £30.00. More recently I found a lovely Weill, brown tweedy jacket with an unusual fluted lapel. It's oversized in a good way and I'm looking forward to wearing it in the Autumn.

My half sister used to live in Chester. Lovely place.

I exchanged my dress for a white vest top black flared skirt dress. No brand.

Saw my SIL tonight, she’s wearing a cut out pattern blush pink cotton waistcoat that could easily have come from Sezane or elsewhere. £1 or £2 at Bromley car boot sale, Laura Ashley. I said I’m coming with you next time.

Got a Hobbs shirt dress last week for £1 from my local charity shop sale rail.
