What are travel straighteners like these days?

Any good recommendations please?

I need a compact pair for a holiday, but I'll probably use them at home too as mine are old and probably on their last legs.

I've never been one for top of the range, somewhere mid range would do. My hair is already quite straight, it's more to make it look polished and sleek. And they get used about once a month if they are lucky!

Thanks in advance.

I have these, they are tiny yet very effective in my shoulder length hair, and perfect for travelling.
Not sure I would use them all the time at home though, I like my GHDs too much

I have these rechargeable ones which fit easily into a bag for special occasions, holidays etc and they’re really good.

These are the ones I use at home, they’re as good as my Cloud 9s for a fraction of the price.

Second vote for the GHD unplugged. Just like normal ghds and charge lasts for about 20 mins of use I think so more than enough time.

Be careful with the regulations if you are flying. I have the Babyliss 9000 which are very good and I have flown with them as hand luggage, but there was a thread here last year where people mentioned having them confiscated in some airports: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/style_and_beauty/5402803-cordless-straighteners-and-problems-at-airport-security

Thank you for this I'll check it out.

I have the GHD unplugged. You do need to keep on top of charging them though. Very useful to be used cordless because men have clearly designed all the hotel rooms I have EVER stayed in and not put a plug by a mirror.
