Can someone please explain the “In The Style” brand re Vinted

So my algorithm on Vinted obviously shows me what I “heart” or buy. It’s currently showing me absolutely loads of barrel/balloon trousers - no problem at all… but they are all from sellers with a brand called In The Style.
Fair enough but they’re all about £30 and if I google this brand it looks absolute tosh. Cheap crap.
Please no judgement on barrel trousers or Vinted, it’s this brand that I don’t get…

People will still be selling on Vinted though.

But it was/is a boohoo/pretty little thing fast fashion brand known for its celebrity collaborations.

I have no idea - perhaps they did and the Vinted stuff is old then? The website I’m currently looking at with the same name is just rubbish.

I always found in the style overpriced. All the ‘celebs’ used to pose for them. Not seen a lot of that content in a while

Thank you I didn’t know this! This possibly clears up my confusion

I think it’s a different website to the brand on Vinted - I have some things from in the style bought a couple of years ago directly and it was very different. They had items designed by Stacy Solomon and were more expensive and better quality than the stuff on the website with that name now

The founder left and it got sold as a brand a couple of years ago. I think it's a bit like Topshop from Topshop dot com vs "Topshop" now which is ASOS sticking the label on their own stuff. It'll be pot luck which it is on Vinted.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 02/07/2026 21:19

there was a documentary about in the style which was quite interesting to watch.

Does it not say who the influencer is who they did the collabb with?
I have some in my eBay shop and it's good quality evening wear
I forget who it is but it's a love islander apparently

Its just a fast fashion brand anyone can sell any brand on vinted old or new. If you look at one in the stlye item the algorithim will show you loads more.

Yes thanks I know that lol, I’m aware how algorithms work as I said in my OP. My question was about why the Vinted ITS stuff is all around £30 and looks pretty good (like Free People dupes) but when I looked at the now ITS website it looks like cheap unstylish clothing.
PP have answered my question regarding change of ownership etc and I do understand it now.

Unless they can show you an In the Style label, then it is a scam. They charge around the £30 mark for items they have sourced from companies such as AliExpress. I was caught out, did a bit of research, and found the item at less than half the price I had paid. Luckily, i got a refund from Vinted. Always ask to see a photo of the label. I have tried it out since, and they won't answer your request
