Can I use semi-permanent dye over highlighted hair and grey?

I had my hair highlighted in early Feb with a half head of blond highlights and brown toner. My grey has come through a lot. Can I put a semi permanent local casting dye on it or will I go green? And if I can, would I be better a blonde shade or the lightest Brown I can find?
Thanks

Maybe try a toner first?

If you go for a semi then try a neutral/ash blond to
avoid going orange.

You can and it probably won't go green. Aim for a shade close to your colour. Semi-permanents aren't as gentle as they sound but Castings is a good one.
I'd go for an ashy colour too. Follow the instructions carefully. I'd do the method for hair that's been dyed before - apply to roots then do the ends last.

I'd try a toner first.
