Wedding guest - curvy girl edition

People! I am at a loss as to what to wear to a nephews wedding. August, Cambridge. Im 48, size 16/18, 5'2", curvy.

Would like something not too patterned, I was thinking palazzo trousers and nice shirt/top. Or a long floaty skirt with a good top.

Generally I suit v necks or off the shoulder/boat neck as busty and narrow shoulders. Not a fan of my bingo wings.

I have a tiny budget as I am spending small fortune in getting there/staying etc.

Would love some ideas, thanks.

Is the wedding at a church with the reception at a hotel, OP?

Which colours suit you best?

Look on Live Unlimited. Sale on atm. You could also look at Scarlett & Jo.

No, in a college.

I'm blonde and tanned. So stronger colours are better, greens, reds, navy, brown, pink, turquoise.

I don't really like 'traditional' wedding guest style dresses either.

I'm an overweight hourglass and find pencil type skirts flattering. I've got to run, but shall have a look and come back to you.

Do you like 50's style dresses? These are just some styles that suit me, as a taller, overweight, hourglass with mahoosive boobs. I don't know any of the brands from the links below, they were just to give you some idea of what style I was thinking of. You could look at ebay/vinted for though for similar IF its something you think would flatter. No idea why the pic is showing a black dress when the link I added was for a pinky/red dress!

Very elegant! I feel I would look a bit frumpy in this, but will consider the shape as flattering.

I think that the line is flattering to you because you are a true petite at 5ft 2.

Fullness in dresses is tricky for petites, but straight lines look good.
