Feedback on bridesmaid dress options please

I am being a bridesmaid later this year and we are buying our own dresses. The wedding is still about 6 months away so lots of time but I’ve been having a look at dresses this week. The amount of dresses out there is overwhelming and I would love feedback on my top choices so far please 🙏🏻

Bride has specified her preferred colours, no bardot and no strapless but otherwise is ok with shapes and lengths. I’m 5ft9 and size 8. I’m not keen on floor length so if the style of the dress allows I’d prefer to take off a few inches and have it about ankle length.

Or if anyone has recommendations I’d love links please. For budget I’d prefer around £150 but could go to £300. Happy for eBay and Vinted finds too - actually encouraged by the bride!

First and third options are my favourite.
Both lovely and if I were the bride, I'd be very happy.

I love the Ghost
I couldn’t wear as am short, but great for tall and slim

Fluffypuppy1 · 24/06/2026 20:24

I like the first option, but would still keep it as floor length or a tiny bit shorter. I’m not sure that ankle length will look so good.

I like 1 and 3 - 3 with the scarf giving the high neckline.

I have dresses and tops that have long ties at the back. They can be more bother than they're worth and you might find them irksome.

1 looks really lovely

Actually, I'll back track on #3. I was looking at it in different colours and not a fan of the back where the shoulder strap joins the dress

1,3 and 4.

I think 1 is the best.

Are you all aiming for the same colour? I only ask as I've been to two weddings where the bridesmaids sourced their own dresses - one lot navy, one lot dusky pink.

As well as being different styles (fair enough), they were all different fabrics and different shades. It looked a bit of a mess.

Can you liaise with the others?

Having said that, I went to a wedding where some of the bride's friends - not the bridesmaids - all wore different red dresses but they were the same shade and similar styles. They looked great actually! (And I'd love to know why they did it because I can't believe it was a coincidence as they were all together).
