Has anyone else had a reaction to new Clinique Moisture Surge?

Have used Clinique moisture surge for years never any problems with it but the new jar opened this month has burnt my face on the two occasions I've used it. I'm wondering if they have changed something in it as it's supposed to be for sensisitve skin and all that old tosh! Has anyone else experienced problems with this product?

Take it back OP!

The last time I used it, it felt very drying on my skin so I only used half the pot and gave up with it. No adverse reaction as such, just didn't surge my skin with moisture at all.

i'm sure i've heard someone else say about this - but anyways hope your OK - and love the username ! :)

This happened to me with Simple face wash but then I realised it wasn’t the face wash, I had sensitised my face with adapalene so whenever I put anything else on vaguely damp skin it stung like a bastard.

So I would check it it’s something else in your routine.

Thanks for that, I have put it down to the Moisture surge as the burning started quite soon after using. Never had any problem before and it always left my skin feeling really hydrated but I won't use it again. On the hunt now for something gentle and non irritating. Hope you're doing good now x

Thank you! My favourite record at the time was Misty Blue by Dorothy Moore and I'm from Glasgow so it just fitted. I had heard rumours too about Clinique being an irritant and my sister had to bin it years ago as it set off her excema big time. you live and learn don't you. The local chemist recommended an ointment and I'm taking an anti-histamine to try and cool the burning feeling. Take care x

Did you buy it from Amazon? My sister had an awful reaction and it turns out it was fake. Cost the same as the genuine one, so no reason to suspect it was dodgy

Try Tatcha - Dewy Skin Cream. Its expensive but best cream I've ever used. I switched to it from Moisture Surge. X

Contact Clinique, their customer service is good. Have you tried DDML?
