Men's style: top button undone and tie loosened

What do you think of this? Top button undone and tie loosened.

Just watching an old series (Silks). Obvs, barristers wear suit & tie. All the men in the series with a few exceptions dress this way. Women are similarly dressed in skirt suits + buttoned-up blouses with tights and heels.

Younger male barrister is in his (shared) office reading his notes/working on his files with top button undone and tie loosened. In the next scene, he's in the pub with similar deshabille.

It just a device to show how stressed they are 🤷‍♀️

It’s got even worse nowadays, DH sometimes not only has his top button undone but wears no tie at all.

He’ll still have his cufflinks, suit, well-shone shoes an pocket handkerchief, but yes, no tie at all.

Not very many men is suits here, but I wouldn't have an issue with it. Especially when they are not in meetings.

I don't mind tie off and top button undone - that's deliberately casual - but I think the top button undone and loosened tie looks deplorably school boy.

The tie must come off completely.

Just top button loose, jacket with white shirt and no tie is the current style for men to appear smart yet informal enough to appear relatable to their hapless audience.
