Please help me find a dress for a wedding in July!
I've lost quite a lot of weight recently and was so excited about finally having loads of dress options but I've been reminded that my body shape still has other ideas. I'm quite rectangular in shape and don't really have a defined waist, so anything fitted just seems to look odd on me and feels uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, I'm going on holiday just before the wedding and while I'll be sensible, I know I'll inevitably be feeling a bit bloated by the time the wedding arrives.
I've completely fallen in love with the dresses by Irish designer Roisin Linnane, but unfortunately they're well outside my budget.
What I'm really looking for is a midi-length shift style dress that's elegant and flattering without being fitted or frumpy. I'm usually a UK 12/14. I'd like my arms covered, nothing low cut and ideally something I can feel completely comfortable in while still looking glamorous and special.
I've got dark hair and tend to suit bold, rich colours much more than pastels.
Budget wise, I'd happily spend up to around £250 if I found the perfect dress but I'd obviously be delighted if it came in under that.
I've tried on so many dresses and honestly nothing has given me that "wow" feeling yet. Does anyone have any recommendations for brands, styles, or specific dresses that might work?
