Products for smooth ponytail but not get or hairspray.

Can anyone please recommend products to control the flyaway/damaged hair when in a ponytail. I don’t like the look or feel of gel or hairspray so I’m looking for something that will hold the hair but not make it hard.
I have thick hair and straighten it but have some breakage.

You’d probably get on better with something more like a lightweight styling cream or smoothing balm. Check "panthenol-based" smoothing products they tend to tame flyaways.

Moroccan oil texture paste u only need a tiny about rub a bit on hands and smooth hair also Kingsley Philips split end sealer will smooth the ends!!

Try some leave in conditioner i.e. Kerastase they also do a beautiful smelling oil

There are a ton of smoothing and anti frizz products that aren't gel or hair spray.
They are usually serums or creams with silicones.
Silicones are lighter and wash out easier than the heavy products from years ago so don't be worried about them.
It helps to also use smoothing conditioners or masks.
