I'm 50, size 12 and 5ft 6. Any recommendations for nice shorts, that flatter the figure?

Joules shorts are comfy I find, smart and wash well.

I have those SB ones too, in green and they are ok, although mine are slightly too big, so get the M not the L. Sale purchase for me hence size and I do think being a bit baggy makes me look bigger.

I got these denim ones in M&S earlier this spring and love them, so easy to wear, can look a bit smarter with nice top. They are mid thigh but loose on the leg which I find more flattering than longer but more fitted shorts. Think they come in various colours not just blue denim
Otherwise I often find good shorts in Next.
I am early 50s, also 5'6" and a 12-14.

Great suggestions! I always used to wear shorts but they don't look like they did when I was younger, so will be good to get a nice pair!
