Where can I buy a nice summer hat for my large head?

Most shops that sell hats for women assume a standard head size, which is too small for me! I got a nice one from M&S a few years back as they did S/M and M/L sizes, but the brim’s gone all floppy now!
Just wondered what other shops I might try to find a really nice summer hat without wasting my time where nothing will fit me.
Any suggestions appreciated!

I have the same problem and highly recommend this place. I have two of their folding travel hats and I love them. They do a few different sizes and the 61cm is big enough for even my massive head!

I have this problem. I got two from a National Trust gift shop last time I was visiting a property on holiday. I was so surprised they fit, I got them both!

You can buy their stuff online but I appreciate you want to try them on.

This is the one I wear most:

Solbari hats are great. They have wire hidden in the brim to position them, and some are made of cotton, linen etc. plus they are SPF50. I lost mine on holiday and miss it!

This.
I'm the opposite of you Op, most standard hats/one size are too big for me. I buy these.

I've always been too big for women's things. Size 8/42 wide fit shoes since junior school. Spectacle frames usually too small for my face (yes, they do come in sizes and very few in my 50-55 range at Specsavers). Bangles usually will not go over my hand. And hats ... I got rid of one recently because it left a red mark on my forehead and gave me a headache - partner tried it on and it easily came down past his eyebrows ... I feel your pain.

I have just spat my coffee everywhere readying that headline 😂😂😂😂

frumpydump · 28/05/2026 10:43

M&S still do the S/M and M/L sizes!

Another vote for Solbari.
if looking for a baseball cap, Uniqlo’s seem to fit well too.

Just come back to this as I had a crazy day yesterday, thanks all for the suggestions! @MrsNathanDrake I think I might buy one from your link.
