I admit I rarely wear any kind of sandal as Im in socks and baseball boots most of the summer but on the rare occasions I do try them (if the weather hits above 30C for example!) I always have the same problem....
little bits of grit and pavement detritus seem to work their way into my sandals and irritate the out of me!
Does this happen to everybody? How on earth do you put up with it!?

Pause, shake it out and walk on!

I find wrapping thick plastic bags over my sandals keeps the grit out, but unfortunately makes my feet sweat. So I don’t bother with that anymore and just take off the sandals to empty out anything that’s bothering me. Looks better too 😉

I wear keen trekking sandals. They have a bit at the front to stop this happening. They’re a bit ugly but I’d rather have ugly shoes and no gravel!!!

Yes, only if nipping to the bins in crocs.
I don't have any sandals otherwise and this is one of the reasons.
