Mother of the groom outfit help

Please help me find a dress for a 5 foot overweight mother of the groom! I am size 14/16 I think! Not looking for anything formal as its a garden party. However I do also need a registry office outfit for the day before.

V neck wrap dresses suit me and loose fitting sleeves to cover my upper arms. Wedding is in 5 weeks......

What do you want to wear at the registry office?

what shoes do you have or like? It’s a good place to start!

Pastel shades, not a fan of anything too bold!

I would like something floral, a little more formal than what i am looking for for the Saturday. Need to avoid sage green as this is the colour scheme for bridal party.

I have cream block heels as we will be on grass.

Not sure what shoes to wear for registry office.

What is your budget? 'Slipintosoft' have some florals with loose sleeves. Anything like this? The Lavender is really pretty.

I know. I miss actual clothes shops! Roman, as mentioned up thread, has lovely dresses. Can you get to an M&S? They might have something.

Or you could have a look round the charity shops. My local ones have wedding guest outfits at the mo (often still with the tags on)

I love the Roman one, need to see if i can get my size.

I've never had anything from Roman but they keep popping up so I keep looking & thinking 'I wish I had somewhere nice to wear one of those'
