What shoes with wide leg trousers

For the office specifically where it’s smart casual with a smattering of women wearing shift and heels still but they’re very much the minority. I feel smart enough in a blouse and trousers with jacket for a more senior meeting. Men still don’t wear ties but do wear formal shirts open necked with trousers and shoes in meetings and chinos and more casual shoes / trainers with shirt and quarter zip for non meeting days.
I wear white trainers but am considering a black leather pair to be a tad smarter but can’t find shoes I like with wide leg trousers. Any ideas ? A sling back? Maybe ?

A pointed toe looks good.

I think anything with a closed toe would work that’s neat and tidy. If you go for a high heel, make sure your leg length is good. I hate feet popping out of a trouser leg too early and looking like a pot handle.

But courts, flats, brogues or boots will all look professional.

Loafers, suede kitten heel sling back (dune ones) or colourful trainers. Not black. Suede trainers for summer are great.

I’ve got some black leather sling backs I just ordered. Pointed toe but black. Or is it black trainers that aren’t ok?

@Josephinemylove In my view - black trainers. Just a bit winter wear. There’s great light coloured suede or even bright suede. They are just better for summer in my view.
