Bra sizes - what do double D, double E etc mean?

If you're not a C, then you're a D or a B? Where do the DDs, EEs etc fit into all of this?

I think it's just to stop them using up all the letters of the alphabet too quickly, Tinker

I think it goes AA (or even AAA which is the smallest) then A, B, C, D, DD.

Not really sure from there , I think brands differ. So if an E was too small you might get an EE in a few brands, or move on to F.

Ring Bravissimo and ask, bet they would know, they are fab.

Bizarrely AA is smaller than A. However DD is larger than D!

I'm a double FF at the minute. too big for an F, but not big enough for a G.

not all manufacturers do this inbetween cup size though.

So the double is equivalent to a shoe size 1/2 - in theory?

Oh I think that Playtex just to confuse things totally are doing real half sizes. e.g. 34C 1/2. So if a 34C was a little tight, and a D a little too big, you get the half size?

Personally I suspect that going to a decent bra shop would negate the need for these half sizes - the fitter would just find a style that was slightly bigger/smaller and fit you out properlhy.

mild mannered - is there not a double e?
