Hairdryer for thick curly hair

Hello, I am looking for recommendations for a hairdryer with diffuser for extremely thick and very curly hair that takes ages to dry and easily frizzes. I've had a GHD one for 15 years that has finally broken. I could get another one but am aware that hairdryers might have moved on in 15 years.

Can anyone recommend a good one? I can't afford the Dyson but I would be worried anyway that the magnetic diffuser would keep falling off.

I can spend around £200 if I have to

Thanks in advance.

Hope it's okay to give this a bump. I could really do with some recommendations :-)

I have thick curly hair I've had cheap hairdryers and expensive ones the best one I've had is this one, the diffuser is massive, I've actually had two of them after dropping the first on a stone floor and breaking it. Looks like it might be being discontinued, I'm tempted to buy another and put it away for when my current one finally gives up the ghost.

thank you - that does look like a good diffuser. Certainly a good price!

Would you say it truly stops your hair blowing about? I find they vary. The GHD one is also very good but I'm curious if there's better out there.

I’ve tried loads and my favourite is the Laifen swift. The diffuser isn’t large but it dries so quickly. I also have that Panasonic and I love that the diffuser prongs are so large, but it still takes longer to dry than the Laifen.

I have thick curly hair and I use the Curlsmith diffuser. The attachment is huge so it dries hair quickly. It was around £130 but I got mine from Look Fantastic and got a discount with the Blue Light Card. It's definitely worth the money.

I also have the curlsmith defrizzion. Its huge so dries my hair really quickly.

look at the size of the Curlsmith diffuser!
Thank you all so much for your suggestions - I'm off to research them all x
