Please help me become more stylish at the gym

I see some lovely layered tops at gym and yoga classes, ones with cut outs and twists in the back…I never seem to see them in the shops or on Vinted though. Can anyone help me with what to look for? What are they called?

Or are people buying tops in coordinating colours and then just layering them? A racer back over a strappy top and then a cross back jumper kind of thing? Wouldn’t you get terribly hot?

I think people layer - i see the strappy bra tops and vests with cut out backs paired together in the gym to buy!

I shall pay more attention! Thank you

Might seem an odd suggestion, but Matalan do nice budget gym and yoga wear, including holey/ layered tops.

2 in 1 racer back top is the description I think. I Personally prefer to layer my own as I find the 2 in 1 ones such a faff to put on.

Key to the stylish/coordinated thing is the colours, I think - a monochrome outfit looks much more stylish than mismatched colours. Look at how the outfits are styled here: the blue leggings/blue top outfit and the brown leggings/brown top looks much more 'put together' than they would mixed and matched. You don't necessarily need a lot of outfits, but one or two coordinated sets would do the trick. M&S have good value gym wear, Matalan or Primark are very budget friendly. Black and navy are timeless, or a mid-blue or sage green for an on-trend look.

I really like Pour Moir, many of their sports bras have that ‘complicated’ back thing plus matching shorts/leggings!

Thank you all so much! Yes, I am trying to stick to a muted and simple colour palette and will check out all these suggestions.

I also rate the Florence and Fred sportswear, if anyone else is looking, I've got a couple of great tops from there.
