Do you spray/protect your boots before storing them away?

Just about to take them up to the loft (where it gets very hot in summer) and wondered if I should protect them in some way?

How do you mean? What spray will protect them from heat!? Am I missing something. I just put mine in a box.

Yes, cleaned, polished, sprayed with protector and into boot bags but then I’m the person who treats my (expensive) wellies and stores them in a special boot bag.

I've decided to do this too now.

I always give my winter boots a good clean before storing them away for the summer.
