What's the best, most gorgeous smelling hand cream?

Within reason of course, I'm not exactly loaded but could go to about £15. It's for my best friend who is pg, I want to put it in a gift basket for her when she gives birth, as I know from experience of constantly washing bottles in hot water tat hands don't fare well. Mine are truly horrid.

I'd say there's a difference - best is probably the Body Shop Hemp one, but nicest smelling would be the Clarins one. It's good too, but not as good as the hemp one imo.

I really really like the one from I Coloniali (from Debenhams and similar). I think it is called Myhrr. The smell is lovely and the texture of the cream is fab - it soaks in.

Also like L'Occitane stuff but it is too expensive imo.

JackieNo · 20/06/2008 22:13

I think the Clarins one is about £11 iirc.

JackieNo · 20/06/2008 22:14

Ooh - it's a bit more expensive than I remembered.

Liz Earle hand repair also smells gorgeous.

Cloudhopper · 20/06/2008 22:17

i coloniali highly recommended

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream or Dr Hauschka. Both under £15, though I don't know if they are really gorgeous smelling.

My lovely SIL gave me Crabtree and Evelyn La Source handcream when DD1 was born.

simply the most divine lovely smell ever and my hands have never looked better

Enid · 21/06/2008 11:18

but it costs a small fortune

TuttiFrutti · 21/06/2008 11:39

Clarins Jeunesse des Mains is the best.

Enid · 21/06/2008 11:48

I dont like the smell of the clarins one

too grannyish (somehow I dont think Bluebell is grannyish but there you go)

I agree about the Neutrogena being the best, but I am also using a (freebie) Neal's Yard citrussy one which is really lovely - it's with a wash that is also very non-drying. (I have very dry little paws, so I can genuinely recommend it!)

The White Company 'Flowers' hand cream is just divine... not too expensive either at £9

Neal's Yard Organic Garden Mint And Bergamot Hand Lotion here

this tisserand one smells divine, and the scent is really long-lasting.

"this one www.weleda.co.uk/products/name/sea-buckthorn-hand-cream/product_id/106026" is my new favourite, it smells lush and it's under a fiver!

bluebump · 21/06/2008 12:28

Well I can't link for the life of me but I think that still works
