Any suggestions?

Preferably not too expensive!

do you wear perfume, Puss? If so I would buy the body cream in the same range - I don't like having a strong smelling body cream if I want to wear perfume, it seems a bit pointless.

I reckon the smell lasts longer too.

PussinJimmyChoos · 20/06/2008 22:34

The thing I've found with the creams that match perfumes, is that they aren't indulgent enough - I don't feel moisturised and soft...I just smell nice iyswim?

Time for a trip to town I think....wish could smell to hearts content without getting patronised by stick thin ronsealed tanned assistants.....mind you, better than being ignored completely I suppose!

How about looking in Crabtree and Evelyn? They do some lovely creams, I've got their spa handcream and it is brilliant.

Jo Malone - Amber and Lavender - it's gorgeous.

If you want something a bit cheaper, I second the Sanctuary's body lotion.

cosima · 21/06/2008 12:49

sisley eau de campagne.

TLV · 21/06/2008 19:41

FCUK body scrub is gorgeous and the smell lasts for ages, I'm looking to see if they do body cream to match, my sis recommended it to me after she saw it in a mag

Elemis Exotic Hanoi Melt - lovely.

girlnextdoor · 21/06/2008 19:46

Have you thought about the Molton Brown range- they are about £14 and have loads of different smells. John Lewis has testers or Molton Brown shops.

micci25 · 21/06/2008 19:46

body butter from the body shop comes in loads of 'flavours' is really rich and the smell lasts for ages. plus isnt too expensive

Lakota · 21/06/2008 20:23

Origins Calm to Your Senses is gorgeous and flowery/vanilla-y

MissingMyHeels · 21/06/2008 20:31

I love the Body Shop stuff too and Jo Malone the gardenia one if you like flowery smells.

DazedEmma · 21/06/2008 20:54

Depends what fragrance you like, I love vaseline cucumber one in summer as it's really fresh, works perfectly well and is really cheap. I also like the st ives stuff in winter for dry skin, it's cos a really clean scent and is superb for keeping skin super soft.

At the moment I use baby oil on wet skin and then just dry it off with a towel, I'm only doing this in a desperate attempt to prevent stretch marks but I smell bloody lovely!

hellymelly · 21/06/2008 20:57

REN rose body oil is truly AMAZING,leaves my skin really soft and you smell delicious all day.even ladle it on my babies.Don't know how to do a link but you can google it.Is not cheap but does last and is really a treat.

woodward · 21/06/2008 21:05

Clinique deep comfort body moisure is lush.

Goober · 21/06/2008 21:13

Dove. Its simple, affordable and very affective.

ScottishMummy · 21/06/2008 21:14

Eau Ressourçante Silky-Smooth Body Cream is also gorgeous too and matching fragrances

StrangeTown · 21/06/2008 21:18

I agree Molton Brown stuff lasts very well on skin esp if you use shower gel/cream combo. I have tried loads and this is def the one I reckon you can still smell if you sniff your forearm come mid afternoon. You know what I mean...not that I normally sniff myself, but it is still noticable.

Liz Earle Botanical cream is nice, but not as long lasting imo.

scunnered · 22/06/2008 21:15

hellymelly agree that REN rose body oil is lovely. They also do a body moisturising cream in the same scent. You can order them on the john lewis web site and get free delivery.
