How can I get my smooth pregnancy hair back?

I hate my hair. My hair is "fluffy" with lots of fly away hairs. I try so much stuff to help it be nice and smooth but nothing helps. I think its thin and dry but i don't know much about hair.

When i was pregnant, my hair was beautiful. Strong looking, silky smooth, no fly away hairs. Now im not pregnant my hair is back how it was before. But i don't know what pregnancy does to your hair to try and replicate it.

Does anyone have any recommendations of things to put in my hair to get my pregnancy hair back.

Sorry, no, and I’ve tried everything! Years of supplements, including collagen, pregnancy vitamins, specific hair supplements etc. High protein diets, lots of water - nothing has helped. Think it might be just age. My hair has also weirdly become wavy when it was straight before, it’s also so thin, dry and flyaway.

Pumpkin seed oil capsules have made my hair full again like when I was pregnant! Im 57 and hair had got thin especially around the front. Pumpkin seed oil is a DHT blocker which is the male hormone which causes hair thinning.

Cheers. I will have a look at pumpkin seed oil

DS is 14 and I never got back my magnificent thick, smooth, bouncy pregnancy hair!

Probably only by getting pregnant again, sorry!

Hi OP. The thing is during pregnancy elevated oestrogen prolongs the hair's growth phase & reduces shedding, which is why it looked fuller/smoother/stronger. After delivery, those hormones drop & the hair reverts, often feeling thinner/drier than it did even before pregnancy. Completely normal, but genuinely frustrating! Try looking for hydrolyzed keratin & panthenol in a leave-in or conditioner. Also a weekly protein treatment helps with the strength side. For flyaways a light application of squalane or argan oil-based serum on dry hair after styling smooths the cuticle. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much. I will definitely try some these ideas
