Cheaper alternative to Body Shop Shea body butter

I really like Body Shop Shea body butter and find it leaves my very dry skin moisturised for a long time. I don't like the price though as get through it quickly! Has anyone found a more affordable alternative? I really like how thick it is and lots of other products seem much more runny and the moisturising effect is less long lasting.

Vaseline do a cocoa butter body lotion, its in superdrug. Big bottle, lasts ages and smells heavenly

Do you have a Body Shop outlet near you as sometimes they’re reduced there.

I used to use the olive one and had one of their loyalty cards which made it pretty reasonably priced when there was an offer on.

I used this for about 20 years and then they upped the price and changed the formula. Nivea So Soft has been a good alternative if you don't get on with the Vaseline one.

There are groups on facebook with ex body shop at home consultants in them selling their left over stock very cheaply;you might be able to get a few cheap shea buttes

For an affordable alternative check the INCI for shea butter listed as "Butyrospermum Parkii" near the top of the ingredients, ideally with mango or cocoa butter alongside it. Tip= avoid anything where water appears first! That's more of a lotion (not a butter) & won't give you the same lasting effect. Try looking at drugstores that carry this profile so it'll cost less.

Palmers cocoa butter is brilliant.
