Where to buy hypo-allergenic earrings?

I haven't bought earrings for years and rarely wear them now. Many fashion earrings cause redness/itching so I assume its a nickel allergy. Gold/silver seem fine. I'd like some studs/small earrings I can wear daily- any suggestions on where to buy?

Do you have a budget in mind?

Yes, that might help! Up to £50. Possibly a bit more.

Great! That puts a few out of the running I was going to suggest like Clogau.

But Kit Heath is good: https://www.kitheath.com/earrings/silver-stud-earrings/?_gl=181iwx8_upMQ.._gs*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwtcHPBhADEiwAWo3sJvpB7TDQUirG4LDMbcSDqQPWnm0Ca4RTT7yUVDLa3DQQSbEBpu-3_BoCKWYQAvD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAAD05Xf-a6Grk92cFWN3M30D3XJnf4

Astrid and Miyu is another to look at: https://www.astridandmiyu.com/search?q=stud

I have friends who have purchased similar from Sarah Alexander: https://www.sarahalexanderjewellery.co.uk/product-category/earrings/stud-earrings/

Also good news is that all seem to offer 10% off for signing up to their newsletter and some have sales items available currently too (don't know if you can use both discounts together however).

But my favourite which is reasonable, ethical and that little bit difference is Lima Lima - she's from my city and we share the same name, just to make me extra biased! https://lima-lima.co.uk/collections/earrings-1

The only sad thing with Lima Lima is there is not a lot for sale online as I think she is deep in the making rather the selling part of the process (although I have just found out my local gallery - as in two minutes' walk from my front door is a stockist... it would be rude not to pop in on payday wouldn't it!)

Also to be fair I wouldn't discount good old Harriet Samuel on the high street - they have loads on their website too and they are very reasonable in cost. I didn't know it was founded by a female until my local shop did a video display all about her - which makes me very happy that when my necklace chain broke I bought it from there.

Happy hunting and happy shopping!

@Arlanymor Thank you so much. I never heard of any of those brands! Some of the clogau collection look lovely too. Lots to look at now. Thanks again x

You're very welcome! I recently moved and was going through my jewellery box to see what to keep what what to jettison and what to buy as replacements so when I saw your thread I thought: "Ooh I've been doing that research recently!

Clogau has an outlet too! https://www.clogauoutlet.co.uk

Goodness me, so sorry about all of those typos I was on a really glitchy internet connection earlier!

Have a look at Serenity Jewellery or Solace Jewellery for hypo-allergenic alternatives. My entire earring collection comes from either of these stores.

Solace are really good.

Probably not special enough for this particular quest but marks and spencers earrings are really good - not sure if they're fully hypoallergenic but they are labelled as skin kind.I have issues with nickel amd can tolerate them well. The designs are nice too.

Silver Rain Silver

They have an absolutely massive selection of affordable 925 sterling silver jewellery. I highly recommend them.

Another vote for Silver Rain - a rare find in that they have billions of beautiful sterling silver earrings (and other jewellery but I’ve only ordered earrings for myself and DD) for amazingly reasonable prices. My username gives away my allergy that brought me to them!

I likely wasn't clear enough in my OP, but I'm looking for some basic, plain earrings I can sleep in and wear day to day. Your suggestion is perfect thankyou.

There are SO many lovely earrings on this post that I will also be buying some of the many other earrings too. Its made me realise how long its been since I bought any! Thanks everyone x

Another vote for Solace. I got my granddaughter a couple of pairs of medical grade titanium studs from there, she had her ears pierced about a year ago and likes to wear studs which she can keep in for weeks.

Thank you so much everyone for the links on this post. It’s really helpful.

Another vote for Silver Rain Silver on Etsy for my daily earrings that I sleep in, shower in etc.

I also like Astley Clarke and Lines and Current.

Another vote for Silver Rain Silver, from someone whose ears swell and go red at every opportunity. I can wear their earrings for months at a time with no problems.
