How to style a black lace trim slip skirt?

Got a lovely black silky slip skirt with lace at the hem (yes, looks like underwear but I love it). I’m looking for styling ideas. How are you wearing yours (or would you)? I tried it with a blouse and ballet pumps and it was nice but a bit prissy. Trying to introduce a bit of edge but not sure how.

It’s basically like that one but ever so slightly longer, maybe bias cut!

I have the M&S one, bloody love it. Bare legs and kitten heel sling backs is my go-to, with black fitted top usually.

I feel like they can just be worn as the main statement in your outfit then dress the rest down, so I would wear some nice adidas trainers then just any top that co-ordinates colourwise really

I would wear it with a tshirt tucked in, jewellery and retro trainers.

I have the river island version. I have worn mine with a tshirt, an off the shoulder jumper, a pretty long sleeve top, a shirt half tucked in and so on! I usually wear trainers with mine. Although as the weather is warming up I will wear sandals too.

I wear satin skirts all the time but when I was looking at buying my 1st one I searched for body shapes similar to mine in satin skirts on Pinterest and other social media sites and took Inspiration from there.

Thanks all…I’m not really a big trainers person. I have adidas superstars (white) and some stan smiths tucked away somewhere. I feel like they’d look a bit chunky maybe though tbf every single fashion student I saw last week seemed to be wearing chunky white trainers. I’ll try it!

Re tucking in a T-shirt, I’ve started tying a knot in the back as it seems to be a bit more flattering with an elasticated waistband but maybe I’m kidding myself and just need to go for a run 🤪

Also I refuse to wear those sports socks with trainers even though I know that’s the thing now. So if anyone can tell me what sort of socks they wear with this outfit that aren’t the ones with the stripes I’d be most grateful! I’m mainly wearing black ankle socks atm
