What are your go-to brands? I’ve bought some costume stuff from influencers over the last year and it’s been absolute tatt - tarnished within months. I have used Tutti and Co for the last 5 years and loved the subtle gold of their range. But just noticed the gold on my favourite piece has started to wear away (worn frequently for 3 years so maybe fair enough). I like fairly delicate modern styles (stars, hearts, loops etc) in a subtle gold and some silver. Don’t say to spend loads - £30-£50 a piece.

Whatever you but needs to be sterling silver or at least 9 carat gold. The brand doesn’t matter; the material you buy does.

Gold.

If you buy sterling silver or 9 ct gold and they varnish, you just clean with a jewellery polishing cloth. Gold is expensive at the moment but silver is reasonable and lots on etsy.

Thank you - this is probably where I’m going wrong. Will look at silver and gold, thank you!
