Are there any supplements or hardeners that actually work to improve nail strength? They are so thin and flaky!

Grum prickly pear seed oil. It’s about £12.

Cuticle oil and collagen have made mine really strong.

My nails are like this too, also working in a job with restrictions. I’ve been using Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for a few weeks, but my nails are just peeling underneath it!
I tried Hard as Hoof cream a while ago and might go back to that to try again.

I had this problem for ages once after I’d had gel nails. I took a hair and nails vitamin supplement, I think it was Boots own brand from their beauty supplement range. It worked really well.

Marine collagen worked for my flaky, splitting nails.

After I started taking magnesium glycinate and a fish oil supplement, mine improved enormously. I’m not sure which one is to thank but probably the fish oil. It took at least six months of consistent supplementing but mine are so long and strong now.

my nails are so weak and constantly snap but I have noticed recently they are harder and ive not had a breakage in a couple of weeks. I take seaweed supplements and collagen and i believe its a mix of both that have helped.

I take a hair, skin, and nails supplement. There apparently isn't scientific evidence to prove it helps nails, but I notice my nails split when I don't take it. My youngest, also in health care, takes them and it's really improved hers too. So 2 sets of anecdotal data.

With hand washing and glove wearing so much, I made sure to have my hands really dry before I gloved again.

@outerspacepotato which supplements do you use? There are so many to choose from!

I'm using manicurist keratin serum. I like it because you paint it on but then it sinks in, it's not like a nail varnish

Zinc

Biotin suppliment. Mine used to break and split. Now so good that they get remarked on.
