Holiday wardrobe help- outfits to cover shoulders and knees.

Going on a city break to a hot southern European city, it’s going to be 30+ degrees. We’ll be visiting churches with a strict dress code, you must have shoulders and knees covered. All my linen summer dresses are sleeveless and above the knee so I need to go shopping for 2-3 outfits that fit the bill. I can’t even just take a scarf to drape around my shoulders as knees will still be on display.
Any recommendations for where to look for options? I am 52 and don’t want to look like a complete frump, but don’t want anything crazily fashion forward either!

You need a midi or maxi dress/skirt or loose trousers with a shirt. M&S do linen shirts, trousers and skirts in a range of colours at reasonable prices. Lots of co-ords around at the moment, shouldn't be hard to find something you like.

Churches tend to be cool inside. Gauzy midi or maxi shirtdress or a thin pair of leggings and a sarong worn as a shawl. Pop them on over/under your dress and put them in your bag afterwards.

I have a short and very light kimono from One Hundred Stars for this very purpose.
Mine is from the “Kew Gardens” range, now discontinued, but they have some lovely new ones .
Maybe try Vinted ?

What a great idea. Just checked on Vinted and there are some lovely ones on there-this could. D the answer, thanks!

@ChiaraRimini - if it’s Greece or Cyprus you’re heading for , many of the popular churches have a rail outside with cape/sarong type things you can use to cover up whilst you visit .
Kimonos far nicer, though !!!! 🤣

Try Oysho for linen sets
