Eyeliner/Eye make up tips pleeeeeeeeeease??

I love it when women have eye liner on that looks nice and not too dramatic, like an everyday look, can anyone give me any tips on how to apply and do you swear by a certain eyeliner?

I also want a really nice brown eyeshadow, I know it sounds stupid cos it's brown but I can't seem to find the right colour... Any recommendations?

i use an eyeliner pencil for everyday use, its much easier to draw on my lid and fill in any gaps, i use a clinique retractable pencil. for a liquid liner effect i use a stiff flat ended eyebrow brush and wet dark eyeshadow and again draw the line on with the brush horizontal or parallel to the lashes, can smudge it to spften the look. I find it easier than the conventional long bristled brushes in liquid liners.

brown eyeshadow i'll bump for you as i cant find a good one either...

No 7 in truffle is a nice eyeshadow, I use it to line my eyes as well.

Have you tried MAC eyeshadows? Although I don't use brown I use lots of their other colours and they are fab. Really well pigmented so a little goes a long way but also easy to blend and silky smooth to touch. And if you use them with a dampened brush you can use them as eyeliner! I find this gives a much softer more wearable look. Use a flat angled brush to apply, and press the colour into the lash line rather than trying to move the brush in a long straight line (does this make sense?!!)Hope this helps x

I'm rubbish at applying it, it always looks like a child has done it, any tips on applying as well as really good products?

Apply it with a cotton bud and work it into your lash line. use a dark brown.

oooh, I am quite pale with really dark hair and someone at work suggested brown cos it's more natural but you can't even tell when i have brown mascara on but is it different with eyeliner?

Yes it would look nice with your colouring.

And wear black mascara not brown. Brown never shows up. do you use eyelash curlers? they make a massive difference. I have short poker straight eye lashes and wouldn't be without mine.

chris, isn't that a night time look? I only put eyeliner inside lower lid when going out. Otherwise its on the top near lashes, masses of mascara. And then I look like....Hmmm....Ummmmm.....not sure.

Look at some of [ Panacea's]] vids on youtube, the one I've linked to is a bit dramatic but she does all different looks and you can tone it down. She's great though and very funny.
