I need some sensible walking shoes! Would anyone like to help me shop for some?

I desperately need some new shoes - Would any of you lovely style gurus like to help me hunt?

Currently wearing brown Dr Martins - with holes in the soles because I have worn them everyday for nearly 3 years.

Id like to get some funky boots!
I walk everywhere everyday so they need to be mega durable and comfortable and preferably cool

Echo is an excellent shop for walking shoes, they look nice as well. They have quite a few shops around, it's also worth checking whether they do mail order.

Sorry, I forget that people do walking in towns too. Most (all?) of mine is confined to country paths and fields.

I do like yours muffin but most of my walking is too and from school/town on pavements!!

I found a site selling the latest Doc's last night. The only ones I was tempted by were 14 hole black boots - not sure how practical they will be to get on and off in a rush! My current pair have only got 6 pairs of holes
