Funeral / holiday trousers or skirt

I have to attend a funeral, and then 1 week later I am going to Paris for the weekend. I’d love to find either a skirt or trousers (preferably wide legged) that can be used for both (dinners out in Paris). I thought I’d wear a white shirt. I can look big hipped, and don’t know how to choose styles that suit me. I’d really appreciate styling suggestions.

I like these barrel legged uniqlo trousers. But I would try them on and see if they look good on, some suit me (I'm pretty big hipped too) and some look bad

The problem with black trousers and a white shirt, is that you look like waiting stuff!! True story - at my aunt’s funeral a few months ago, a distant cousin dumped a tray of finger sandwiches and asked me to hand them round. He only realised I wasn’t one of the caterers when I called him by a childhood nickname! And then several people asked me if they could get more tea!
