Where to start with polished corporate dressing after years in jeans

I am a SAHM who lives in jeans. For some complex reasons I have - for the first time in many, many years - got to attend a series of corporate meetings. It is important that I look well polished, elegant and very well put together - giving the impression of style, authority and control. They aren't interviews but think, high level interviews with rich people kind of set up.

Except those days are three kids behind me and live in jeans or gym kit. I literally have nothing to wear.

I am a size 12, and short, and an inverted triangle body shape. I do not suit black at all - I literally never every wear it and feel very uncomfortable in it. Similarly, I never wear bright colours. I prefer dark greens, browns, warm and dark blues - autumnal colours. I hate ruffles and fuss. I'm quite gamine in style I think.

I think I am maybe looking for a trouser suit, with a simple top underneath with a bit of a V'neck. Would do a dress too but not a skirt suit. Have a generous budget. Where do I start?

With a generous budget, The Fold London, Wyse, Hobbs (do petites but can be a little staid in styling), Margaret Howell for trousers and suits.

Holliday Granger rocked some beautiful office wear in the recent season of The Capture, mainly forest greens, navy, chocolate, and the lady who played Gemma had similar in blues and greys if you’re looking for inspiration
