Korean Beauty Skincare Best Buys

I’m getting increasingly into Korean skincare and was wondering what other people have found that really works. I’m in my 40s and generally aiming to reduce pore sizes and have smooth skin with a bit of a glow.

i like the Coryx Snail mucin essence. Seems to smooth and hydrate. I’ve started using separate SPF and am using the Beauty of Joeson spf. It goes on well and no white cast.

Have just ordered Torriden toner which I’ve heard is good.

I currently use Medik8 retinol a few times a week but believe that with Korean skincare such a harsh exfoliation isn’t recommended and they would use something less harsh. I am finding some days my skin feels a bit stinging. So I’d been thinking about using a barrier repair cream as well as moisturiser but now I’m thinking maybe I should drop the retinol instead and have a more gentle exfoliation

I keep seeing adverts for Nida, anyone used those?

I also just bought Beauty of Joeson SPF and used recently on holiday, it’s lovely

Cosryx snail and Cosryx ultra light sun screen.

Iliyoon ceramide cream. This has been a complete game changer for me and prevents post tret flakiness. It is so damn healing too, a real joy to use.

I have been trying a few bits over the past few months. I use the cosryx power essence snail mucin and have just started the spf. I use the beauty of josean eye cream which I like although it has retinol in it so need to be careful not to over use. I tried nubutin power essence and saw no change although was highly recommended, also the nubutin no 9 toner but that stung.

I have just started the illiyoon ceramide cream as just finished the aestura barrier cream. That was very nourishing but a touch heavy for me.

I liked Beauty of Jeonsen Glow Serum. I tried some Skin1004 Centella products but they irritated my skin.

I’ve ordered the biodance masks and also the illyoon cream which ChatGPT tells me will be a good barrier cream.

Not heard of it. Just googled and reviews seem mixed. I’m always a bit suspicious if none of SpaceNK, Sephora, boots or PureSeoul sell a brand. Though I guess there may be good Korean brands which haven’t made it over here yet.

@RayofSunshine18 thsnks, that website is awesome. Some great brands and love the fact you can select what your skin issue is and they recommend products.
