I can’t believe I filled in the survey then signed up to the advent waitlist - in May 🙈

I said - no more ‘niche’ perfumes, please - they are almost all absolutely vile imo. I also suggested that if they must put fragrance in, then they offer a couple of calendar options to give people a bit of choice.

Beautyfox · 08/05/2026 07:49

Just tried to put the link for the survey for those that didn’t get it but it appears to link directly to my account. I think it’s because it auto enters into a prize drawer for a calendar. Maybe someone more tech savvy knows a way.

CornishPorsche · 07/05/2026 20:14

Yes, also blunt about the crappy PK, miniscule products, and wanting a no-perfume option as its wasted on me. I want beauty, not perfumes.

Yes I also complained about pk, tiny samples and number of perfumes. I had the calendar in 2024 and thought it was great but last years was terrible and felt like they just flung in all the crap they couldn't get rid of elsewhere. I made a snide comment on the survey saying that liberty customers are not there to offload their tat to. Felt bad saying that but I save hard for this calendar and its suposed to be a real treat and I expected better from liberty. I'll get one this year but if it's not very good, it will be my last

I love the niche perfumes! Best thing about the calendar imo.

IlovePond · 08/05/2026 08:10

Tbf, I did really like the vanilla powder @IDontHateRainbows but that was it 😿

ACAC2023 · 08/05/2026 14:32

I’ve emailed and asked for the link to the survey and also wrote a paragraph about how unpleasant the perfumes are that they included in last year’s Calendar. I definitely wouldn’t buy this year if the put anymore Bibbi perfumes in.

Housewife2010 · 08/05/2026 19:21

I loved the perfumes in last year's calendar. I'd far rather have perfume than hair products. There are so many other AC's without perfumes for perfume haters to choose. Liberty is known for its niche perfume department so it seemed a perfect fit for me. I don't want a separate fragrance AC. I'd just this year's to have the same perfume ratio.

They replied to my message really quickly and offered to post me something I liked from last years Calendar. I mentioned a few thing including PK & they replied quickly afterwards saying a replacement PK was on its way. I do really like it, so I’m happy with that 🙂

Primrosespaw · 08/05/2026 20:49

I agree @Housewife2010 the last Liberty AC was my first and such a good fit for me and mum. I shall defo get the latest. I did a fair amount of research before and decided it was worth it. I loved the majority and am a perfume fan.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 09/05/2026 14:43

I went with the Liberty BAC for 2 reasons which were it had lots of perfume & the discount for BD members.
I did the survey & suggested that they also vary the products a bit more.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 09/05/2026 14:51

I really love Bibbi Swimming Pool (I should have known that I'd like it seeing that many don't like it / as that's usually the case for me 😂)

I get the the eucalyptus straightaway then the mojito notes, ginger & citrus too but eventually it settles down into a floral slightly salty scent on my skin.
Love it!

ChristmasCwtch · 09/05/2026 16:10

I also wrote to Liberty to ask them not to put perfume in the AC. It’s such a personal thing. I haven’t liked any of the BD or AC perfumes so they’re all piled in a basket. Worth listing on Vinted?

I’m the same! I sold all mine on Vinted other than the Liberty one which I did like. Didn’t get loads for them but at least they’ve gone!!

ETA as perfume is so personal I agree with others, either do a separate fragrance calendar like Harrods or maybe do 2-3 like 2024, 8 far too many and if they do that this year I won’t be buying.

Housewife2010 · 10/05/2026 01:16

I really hope they put loads of scents in again. I check all the contents before I buy so only buy ACs where I want the majority of the items. The contents are released so early that the AC is still a surprise in December.

I’m another perfume lover- thought last years was brilliant with all the scents. You can’t please everyone 🤷‍♀️

SummerLimes · 10/05/2026 09:06

I like a niche scent although not keen on Bibbi. My hearts sinks with a black eyeliner/ red nail polish.

IDontHateRainbows · 10/05/2026 09:11

I wish liberty would do a just perfume calendar, like Harvey Nicks and Harrods do, although I much preferred Harvey Nicks to Harrods.

AprilLady · 10/05/2026 09:57

Liberty did a 12 day Fragrance calendar back in 2022. Priced at £275, worth c£600 and with mostly travel sizes it did not sell that well, and was eventually discounted to move it. 2022 was the year the Harrods Fragrance calendar first appeared - cost £150 and worth over £800 and with a number of full size perfumes - so the Liberty calendar looked pretty poor in comparison. I think Liberty have not done one again because of the lack of the success of that first one.

And another! I ranked perfume for the survey as the top item I'd want to see in the calendar again this year. Although a separate Liberty perfume advent would be great too.

I love skincare/makeup too but have lots of staples/favourites plus it takes longer to decide if new products work for me.
Whereas I love the instant gratification of trying new perfume and loving it.
If its a WFH day I spray different ones a few times during the day when taking time away from the screen as a little break and mood lifter.

@26inprogress please can I ask how much you sold them for? I’ve only bought on Vinted so far. Thanks 🙏

Sure, it was actually more than I remembered! the Granado was around £14, the Bibbi £12, Vanilla Powder £18 and Vryao £8and I bundled another few together along with some from BD for around £12. HTH

BurningTheToast · 10/05/2026 13:54

Can I ask how bundles of things sell on Vinted? I have an abundance both of washbags and unwanted items from edits and BS and I was thinking of popping them on Vinted as one listing just to get shot. Say a washbag about about ten products. Do you think that would be popular?

BIossomtoes · 10/05/2026 14:33

It would depend on how realistic your pricing is. I’ve seen some ridiculously optimistic pricing on there. You’d do better to post more popular products separately as they get picked up by Liberty customers who like them - and also own a plethora of washbags!

Oh wow @26inprogress. I was thinking £1 or £2 each. I’ll have a look later. Thank you
