Does losing weight help improve appearance of downturned mouth?

I'm 39 and am overwight but tall so about a size 14.. however I carry fat in my face/cheeks which has always made me look much younger than my age, however now I have increasingly pronounced short lines turning down from edges of mouth.

Other than that my facial skin looks young, bar 11 lines and some forehead fine lines.

Will losing weight fix these corner of the mouth lines? I really hate how they look. Can anyone suggest anything else eg collagen?

Hi, sometimes weight loss can exacerbate these lines, particularly if you lose weight rapidly. Dermal filler or even a bit of botox can help, book a consultation with a reputable medical professional and they should be able to advise you further!

Weight loss will likely help but only if it’s slow weight loss.
If it’s too fast the the skin might sag.

I would definitely try losing some weight in a healthy way and using some firming cream whilst doing it.

I do take collagen but I don’t know if it actually works as there’s mixed reviews.

If the weight loss doesn’t help then it may be that you have to look into Botox etc.
