Retro-style trainers with better support than Gazelles, Converse or Vans

Trainers....my favourites have been gazelles for a very long time, or converse or vans old skool. I do find though, when I wear my gazelles too often, I think they are so soft in the sole that my foot can twist funny and I get pain through my forefoot like all the bones are clanking together. It doesn't happen so much in winter when I live in dm chelsea boots. I'm starting to think the sole is a bit too flexible for everyday.
Can anyone recommend trainers with better support that still look in line with my sort of retro trainer style? I think perhaps the sole needs to be a bit firmer, maybe a bit of arch support. I'm not really into the dad trainer think or extremely chunky trainers. Just a bit retro, love a gum sole! Tia.
Ps, anyone know if NB 574 would be any use for this? They are a bit more sporty than I'd usually go for but a kind of compromise.

Have you looked at fit flops. I’ve just ordered some based on very positive reviews!

I've just looked. The retro ones are closest to my style but I'm unsure about the ff branding.

Have you tried the Gazelle Bold with the thicker sole?
I find them much more supportive than the regular ones

Gola Elan and Gola Harriers are quite supportive

I find the adidas Japans surprisingly supportive. I also like the Taekwondo’s though they are a very specific look!
