Teenager-friendly shoes for bunions

Despite being in sensible shoes since she was a toddler, poor DD (14) has bunions. Under orthopedics who are considering surgery, but podiatry in the meantime, has orthotics.

Just really struggling to get shoes which fit the podiatrist bill of removeable insole for her orthotics, wide toe box, stretch etc.

She needs black school shoes, running/athletic shoes, and then everyday trainers. Have ordered some Topo Atmos running shoes which look good, and then some school-type ones from Sole Bliss, but she's 14...plus they're all so expensive!

Has anyone found anything everyday and good and teenage-appropriate - like Converse, but bunion-friendly?

Also, sorry - she's got a few outward bound things coming up, so will need hiking boots - has anyone found any which are ok???

For wide toe box and teen friendly, Rocket Dog Jazz Jazzin' range have a wide variety of styles and fun patterns. For hiking boots, Keen tend toward wider toe boxes, but can be hit and miss on sizing due to limited stock in UK.
